Be The Light

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: (1 Peter 3:15).

Have you ever met someone who is eager to talk and share about their faith as soon as they see you? I personally appreciate these individuals as it demonstrates their fearlessness in sharing their beliefs. Their enthusiasm shows that they are actively spending time with Jesus, devoted to His Word and church, and filled with joy. Joseph may have been similar to these individuals, as he frequently shared his dreams with his brothers, which eventually led them to sell him into slavery. When Pharaoh's wife attempted to seduce him, he refused, stating that he could not commit sin against God. Even when asked to interpret Pharaoh's dreams, Joseph credited God for the answer. Peter advised us to "Sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear." Do you feel hesitant or shy when someone asks about Jesus or begins discussing Him? Don't shy away from these conversations, as you may be the light that someone needs to keep them going. Your words could be the spark that reignites their faith.
