He’s On A Chain

And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. (Revelation 20:1-3)

Thought For Today:

When I was a kid, our neighbor had a very large dog that they kept attached to a chain for their home protection. In every way, this dog seemed to be very vicious. We never knew if they would have him chained or not. And so each time we had to pass their house, we would do our best to be as quiet as possible so as to not arouse the dog. We didn't want the dog to hear us passing and chase after us.Thankfully, they usually did keep him on a chain. Satan is on a chain. He is bound. He can't do you any harm. Therefore, you should not fear what he can do to you. Jesus gave you power over him (Luke 10:19). Satan should not be receiving any credit of what he's accomplishing in and against the church during our testimonies. So anytime you start to think that he's causing you harm or that he can get to you, just remember that he's on a chain and at the mention of the name of Jesus, Satan begins to tremble.
