Divine Guidance
Proverbs 16:1-3
"The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD. All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits. Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established".
Thought For Today:
Divine Guidance in Planning (Verse 1): As we plan and make decisions, it's important to acknowledge the role of God in our lives. The first verse of this passage emphasizes that the thoughts and words that arise from our hearts are ultimately influenced by the Lord. Seeking divine guidance can help us make better decisions and gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world around us.
Human Perception vs. Divine Evaluation (Verse 2): While we may believe that our ways are just and right, the second verse reminds us that God evaluates our motives and intentions. It's important to approach life with humility and self-reflection, recognizing that our perspectives may not always align with God's perfect understanding. By seeking to understand God's will, we can gain a greater sense of purpose and clarity in our lives.
Committing Works to the Lord (Verse 3): The third verse offers practical advice for achieving success and stability. By committing our works and plans to the Lord, we can establish a solid foundation for our lives. This involves aligning our will with God's will and seeking His guidance in all aspects of life. When we trust in God's plan, we can be confident that our efforts will be rewarded and our paths will be made clear.
