Don’t Have A Fit

And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; (Luke 18:1)

Thought For Today:

A young boy was asked to quote his Sunday School memory verse, which was Luke 18:1. He did very well until he got to the end of the verse.  His quote went like this:  "And he spake a parable unto them to this end that men ought always to pray, and not to have a fit."   He may not have quoted it correctly, but he had a point.  It is true, if men would pray as they should would they would stop having fits..  They would be able to keep their flesh and attitude under subjection.  Prayer helps us maintain our humility and  keep our pride in line with the word of God.  Anytime you have a sudden outburst that goes against the word of God, check your prayer life for that day.  Was it the first thing you did when you arose, or did you do something that caused you to get off track.  When we don't allow ourselves sufficient time at the start of our day to pray, there will always be that chance we just might have a  fit sometime during the day.
