Heading Right In The Wrong Direction
There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death (Proverbs 14:12).
thought for today:
Have you ever been on a journey and said to yourself "I know that this is the right way," only to find out that you were heading in the wrong direction? There are many roads that may lead to the right destination but they may be filled with pitfalls and snares. David asked the Lord, Shew me thou way, Lord teach me thou path (Psalms 25:3). He knew that as long as God was leading and directing, then all would be okay. Do you ask the Lord to show you the way? Thomas did. And Jesus told him, “I am the way” (John 14:6) and “Follow me” (Matthew 4:19). If we follow Jesus, we will always be heading in the right direction even though it may seem to us that we are heading in the wrong direction. His ways are not our ways, and neither is His thoughts our thought. Jesus knows where the pitfalls and snares are located, so we must allow Him to lead us, because some ways may lead to eternal death.
