High Places

Ephesians 4:11-15

And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ

Thought For Today

I am thankful that God didn’t set an age limit on what it would take for one to grow in Him. When we realize that we all get on the train at a different stop in this life, and that each of us determine our own spiritual growth, we then must realize that we are the ones that set our own limits as to how high we will go in Christ. My prayer time will always include a time of asking God to help people grow spiritually. Habakkuk 3:19  tells us, The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. Spiritual growth takes you to a higher level. When you study God's Word and apply it to your life, you grow and move to a higher plateau. We are commanded to study to show ourselves approved unto God, workmen that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15). When a Christian matures, their love and commitment toward the things of God is plain to see. The storms of life do not shake them, and fear doesn’t grip them. They are as bold as a lion with love and patience. They walk with confidence and they know where they are heading. The cares of the world can’t drag them down and they are willing to do what is asked of them for the kingdom of God. We must have a healthy growth pattern. Mothers become concerned when they notice their children not growing as they should and so should we in the kingdom of God. What rung of the growth ladder are you standing on? If you think you are at the top, then turn around and help someone else up.

Sing This Song with Me:

They that wait on the Lord, Shall renew their strength, They shall mount up on wings, Just like an eagle and soar…
