Investing In The Stock Market

He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house; but he that hateth gifts shall live. (Proverbs 15:27)

Today's Morsel:

Why do people seem to always want more?  Why do we feel that we need to give gifts to people for doing what they are supposed to do?  Why do businesses give bonuses to people for doing their jobs? Be content with what you have, because greed can become our worst enemy. Today's passage goes deeper than just material wealth.  It can reach into other areas of life as well.  If we are not careful greed can destroy us. Some people make investments in the financial market as if they are at the casino.  You say, well isn't that why we invest, for financial gain?  Yes, but if you aren't content when you put it in, it will trouble your house.  It will keep you worried. You should always use wisdom when you invest in the stock market. And use what you can afford to lose, because the market isn't a guaranteed institution. God’s Kingdom on the other hand is a guaranteed win. You will not have to worry about your future when you invest in God’s kingdom, because godliness with contentment is always great gain.
