KNOWLEDGE
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. (Proverbs 1:7)
THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
According to Solomon, the foundation of knowledge lies in showing respect and reverence towards God. It's puzzling that many individuals may excel in various areas of expertise but lack an understanding of God. Furthermore, it's concerning to observe the large number of people who claim to be Christian but demonstrate a lack of godly wisdom." Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God, the psalmist said" (Psalms 53:4). In my opinion, not respecting God leads to a shorter lifespan. Life becomes easier to navigate when we understand our motivations. Unfortunately, many people lack this understanding. For instance, I once asked someone why they got a tattoo, and they couldn't provide a reason. It shocked me that they spent money on something without knowing why. As Solomon put it, those who disregard wisdom and guidance are foolish. May we seek the Lord's help in gaining understanding. In other words, people who say that there is no God (Psalms 14:1) will not receive wisdom and instruction. It's my belief that some countries are experiencing disasters due to a lack of knowledge of God. As it's written in scripture, "The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God," as David said in Psalms 9:17. However, Daniel reminds us that "And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits" (Daniel 11:32). When you have knowledge of God, you become strong and capable of achieving great things. Loving God leads to reverence and reverence leads to freedom through the Truth.
