Measured Faith
"For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith" (Romans 12:3)
Thought For Today
How much faith would you say that you have? Has your faith increased since your first encounter with Jesus? Has your faith decreased since your first encounter with Jesus? Jesus gave us the measure or portion of His faith to see what we will do with it. In the same way that the Lord instructed Moses to put some of his honor on Joshua (Numbers 27), He give us some of His faith to see what we will do with it. Peter tells us to add to our faith (2 Peter 1:5) because faith without works is dead being alone (James 2), and without faith, we cannot please God (Hebrews 11:6). When we add spiritual things to our faith, it will grow and we will have a lot more than what we began with. We won't be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. When your faith is strong, you aren't easily shaken or moved. Jesus said, If you only have a little bit of faith, you can move mountains. It's so much easier to move them when your faith is strong.
Sing This Song with Me:
Lord lift us up where we belong, where the eagles cry, On a mountain high Lord lift us up where we belong, far from the world, We know, up where the clear wind blow
