Mercy Is Already There

It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

(Lamentations 3:22-23).

 Thought For Today:
Every new day brings new opportunities, so it’s important to let go of what happened yesterday since we cannot change it. It's best to forget past hurts, mistakes, and lies, and to start fresh. Just make a commitment not to repeat those old mistakes. Unfortunately, many people choose to dwell in the past, clinging to old grievances and seeking revenge. However, holding onto yesterday’s pains will only hinder your ability to move forward and grow. The children of Israel were provided new manna every morning. They couldn't get manna from the day before. It was gone.  Jeremiah said that the Lord's mercies are new every morning. David said that His joy and loving kindness comes in the morning (Psalms 30:5; Psalms 92:2).  God does not want us to think He runs out of things for us. The psalmist reminds us that He daily loads us with benefits (Psalm 68:19) and urges us not to forget those benefits."Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's" (Psalms 103:2-5). Don’t believe that God is unable to provide for you. As He asked Abraham, "Is there anything too hard for the Lord?" (Genesis 18:14).  I know not any.  And He told Jeremiah: "Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD" (Jeremiah 9:23-24). If you need His mercy, it's already there for you.
