"Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you"

If you were asked how important obedience is, what would be your answer? Benjamin Franklin said we should let obedience be our children’s first lesson.  Even the Prophet Samuel told King Saul to obey is better than sacrifice. When we obey God's word and submit to those put over us, we will see the benifits of obedience.  Obedience is a sign of discipline and submission.  It reveals a sense of righteousness, contentment, and temperance.  I know that many may not see obedience as being all these things, but obedience really is like discipline, doing the right thing when no one is watching you.
