Preach The Word
I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. (2 Timothy 4:1-4)
Thought For Today:
Are churches are getting away from the Word of God. So many people are suffering and many churches are trying to use programs and other avenues to comfort them in their lowly state to bring them into a relationship with Christ, instead of preaching the Word. Programs aren't going to get the job done.
People are suffering because they have succumb to the enemies traps of getting rich quick, having sex before marriage, birthing children out of wedlock, getting a career first and then trying to serve God later, buy it on credit and pay for it later, and do what you feel like, many have found themselves drowning in their own foolishness ways. And now many are turning to the church for help. Bailing a person out financially isn't going to help. Giving them a sugar coated message isn't going to free them from Satan's bondage. They need the Word of God, so that they can see who they really are and prevent themselves from falling into the same snares of the devil. Paul told Timothy, to preach the word because a man and woman's ways are only cleansed by the Word of God (Psalms 119:9;John 15:3).
