The Birds And Me

Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? (Matthew 6:26)

 Thought For Today:
Have you taken the time recently to watch the robins, sparrows, doves, pigeons, ravens, and even woodpeckers? It's such a beautiful sight. As I watch these birds, they appear to have no worries in the world. Even though there are dangers around them, it doesn't seem to affect them. Jesus said, that they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Jesus wants us to know that as part of His creation, He will provide for us the same as He does those fowls. The fowls put their trust in God to provide for them. Solomon tell us, "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths" (Proverbs 3:5-6). Paul said that God would supply all of our need (Philippians 4:19). David said that he has never seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging bread (Psalms 37:25). And Jesus said that it was the Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom (Luke 12:32). So the next time you observe the fowls, just know that Jesus has your best interest at heart also.
