The Love-Hate Relationship

Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked. (Psalms 97:10)

Thought For Today:

How strong is your hatred for evil? If we claim to love the Lord, then we must also hate evil. I'm not talking about hating the people who commit evil, but rather the evil deeds themselves. We should not even be associated with it. It's unfortunate that many people who claim to be Christian seem to love evil more than righteousness. Paul told Timothy that evil seducers would become worse in the last days. You can choose to align with them for immediate financial gain, or you can separate yourself from them and devote yourself to the Lord. "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership can righteousness have with wickedness? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: 'I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God" (2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1). Jesus preserves the souls of His saints; He will deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.
