The True God

But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation. (Jeremiah 10:10)

Thought For Today:

One of the most thrilling moments in my life was when Jesus revealed to me that He is The Mighty God. After receiving this revelation, my understanding of scripture became clearer. Just like Paul on the road to Damascus (Acts 9), I too received the revelation of the Mighty God in Christ. With an understanding of this truth (John 1:1-2;14), and a comprehension of who I am in Him (1 John 3:1-3), everything else in my life started to fall into place effortlessly.

Jeremiah said, "But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king." John said, "And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life" (1 John 5:20). 

And Paul wanted Timothy to understand this truth, so he wrote, "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory"(1 Timothy 3:16). To the church at Colossians Paul wrote, "Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power" (Colossians 2:8-10). 

Jesus is God; don't believe anyone who says otherwise. Thank God for the truth.
