The Wind Is Blowing Again

Acts 2:1-4
And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Thought For Today:

When Nicodemus came to Jesus by night and talked with Him, he wanted to know how a man could be born again.  It had to be of water and Spirit.  When Nicodemus asked Him, "How can these things be?"  Jesus told him, "The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is everyone that is born of the Spirit" (John 3:8).  He told him that when one is born of the Spirit, it would be like wind blowing.  You would hear it, but wouldn't be able to tell where it came from.  Luke said in Acts 2, "And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."  And then he said, "Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded because that every man heard them speak in his own language" (Acts 2:6).  Many churches and believers denounce speaking in tongues.  And some even teach that it's not for us today, or they don't mention it.  And some say that this was only for the apostles and the first-century church.  But Peter said, "For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call" (Acts 2:39).  Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed?  If not, remember that it is a gift promised from the Lord that is still available to you today.
