Transformed
Romans 12:1-2
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Thought For Today
The Bible seems to call upon us to continue to renew our mind. Our thinking determines our successes and failures in life. The Apostle Paul said that we must be transformed by renewing of our minds. When we realize who we are in Christ, our thinking is renewed. Colossians 3:2 tells us, Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. Our minds should continuously be upon heaven and what Jesus has chosen for us to do while we are here upon the earth. Even when we are faced with difficult circumstances and situations, our victory depends on how we see them with our renewed spiritual mind. Joshua and Caleb saw the same thing the other ten spies saw in the Promised Land. The only difference was Joshua and Caleb saw what God had promised them instead of who was there and how big they were. Paul said, "If you be risen with Christ, then seek those things which are above." We must renew our minds and see every trial and circumstance as a stepping stone propelling us toward our goal.
