Warfare Armour

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints
(Ephesians 6:10-18).

Thought For Today:
Spiritual warfare may be chaotic, but it is a crucial part of our growth and purpose. Embracing this challenge is vital for making meaningful progress. Natural warfare brings hurt, suffering, and loss of life. Even though we have spiritual armor to wear, there will always be some who will not take it seriously, thus either losing their life or the lives of others. Some folk see church, personal development, spiritual growth, and spiritual maturity as optional things and not as a necessity. Paul uses the metaphor of a soldier's armor to stress the importance of preparation. I'm sure he witnessed how Roman soldiers marched into Jerusalem and wore their equipment for their protection. And now, being a soldier of Christ, he felt the need to call our attention to the armor we have and how we should wear it for our protection. Truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God are some of the best protection a child of God can have. Because once you have proven these things, you have Christ surrounding you, and no foe in hell can defeat you.
