Welcome Back Home

"But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry: For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry"

(Luke 15:22-24).

Thought For Today:
The holiday season is a great time to reunite with family members. It is a great delight for a mother or father to see their sons, daughters, and grandchildren, who have moved away from home. One can only imagine how the prodigal son’s father grieved daily for his son who had left home. Communication during that time was likely very difficult. So, when the father finally saw his son returning down the road, he must have felt immense joy. Because his son was repentant, the father exclaimed, “My son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.” Thus, he began the process of restoring his son, making him feel alive once more. Friend, no matter how low you may feel in this world, Jesus, your Heavenly Father, will always welcome you back home. All you have to do is make the decision to return.
