Where Are The Believers

"For the hurt of the daughter of my people am I hurt; I am black; astonishment hath taken hold on me. Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?"
(Jeremiah 8:21-22)

 Thought For Today:

Why are there so many sick people who are experiencing chronic pain and why are there so many diseases when it seems like we have a pharmacy and Doctor’s office on every corner? The Greek word for witchcraft is pharmakeia, far-mak-i'-ah; medication (“pharmacy”). I often wonder what life would look like today without these places. I believe more than anything, we must place our trust in the Lord and pray to God for healing and deliverance.

Has the church lost its purpose? Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there, the Lord asked. Are we putting our trust more in man when it should be in the Lord? Have we chosen man's ways over the Lord's? Why aren't my people healed, the Lord asked. Where have we missed the mark? Where are the true apothecaries? Doesn't the Word tell us that by His stripes we are healed? Why aren't we calling on the church elders the way the Word tells us? "Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him" (James 5:14-15). Always remember that Satan is subtle and his ways are contrary to the ways of God.
