Beauty

I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it. He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
(Ecclesiastes 3:10-11)

Thought For Today :

Springtime is a time for planting flowers, having beautiful lawns, and growing beautiful gardens. Solomon said that God hath made everything beautiful in His time. Isn't it amazing how God can take some of the ugliest things and make them beautiful. Look at the butterfly which comes from a caterpillar. Look at the peacock which is just like any other bird until it spreads its feathers. And look at mankind. He can be ugly in action, attitudes, and decorum, but once God fills him with His Spirit and he allows that Spirit to lead and guide him, he becomes beautiful in so many ways. When we allow ourselves to be led by the Spirit of God, the fruit of that spirit is manifest within us and we reflect Christ in our lives. The beauty of a man is reflected by his personality, and that comes from his character. If we possess the fruit of the spirit within us, then we have the character of God and the ability to reflect our beautiful Savior. Scripture tells us, "O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth" (Psalms 96:9). Our worship should be beautiful. "Thy testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh thine house, O LORD, for ever" (Psalms 93:5). Remember, we are the temple of God. Holiness is beautiful and holiness right.
