EMPOWERED

Micah 3:8

But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the LORD, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY:

One morning, a lion woke up with a strong desire to assert dominance over other jungle animals. He approached a monkey and asked him, "Who is the strongest animal in the jungle?" Intimidated by the lion's roar, the monkey replied, "You are, Master."
The lion encountered a wildebeest and asked, "Who is the mightiest animal in the jungle?" The wildebeest answered, "You are, Master," shaking with fear.
In the story, a lion encountered an elephant in the jungle. The lion asked the elephant, "Who is the strongest animal in the jungle?" The elephant responded by grabbing the lion with his trunk and slamming him repeatedly against a tree. The elephant then dropped the lion and walked away. The lion, feeling insulted, yelled after the elephant, saying, "There was no need to be aggressive just because you didn't know the answer."

"It's amazing to see how creatures such as elephants can be afraid of something as small as a mouse in God's creation. Even some of the larger and more robust animals can be afraid of smaller ones. It's interesting to note that some people believe that the devil is powerful. ”But Isaiah tells us, "They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms" (Isaiah 14:16). Satan is nothing but a declawed, toothless lion on a chain. Jesus took away his power at Calvary. David said, "God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God" (Psalms 62:11). Jesus said that all power in heaven and earth belongs to Him (Matthew 28:18). So when Christ's Spirit comes into your life, you too should say as Micah, " But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the LORD, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin." "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost comes upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth" (Acts 1:8). The Holy Ghost makes you strong, even when you think that you are weak. You just need to stir it up.
