Give And Receive

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. (Luke 6:38)

Thought For Today:

During Christmas, we enjoy giving and recieving gifts. I like seeing the expression on the people faces when they give gifts.  There is a joy about them when they are watching others open their gifts  There is something about giving that gives us joy.  If we could grasp this in the church, we too would see that we are happier when we give.  I think this may be why Paul instructed us to bring an offering when we come to church because there is joy when we give.  When you tighten your purse strings, you withhold the blessings of God from your life, because the law of sowing and reaping is always in effect.  Jesus said, "Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again."  When I look at the tithe and offerings records I understand why some are struggling and others are flurishing. When you give to God just, watch and see that others will give back to you.  It just works that way.
