The Battle Is Real
For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire. (Isaiah 9:5)
Thought For Today:
Is it time for you to improve your armor? When is the last time you took a strong look at your armor? Can you identify each piece and how it is to be worn? How many dents are in your armor from close combat? How many of your buckles have been broken off? Are you repairing the damaged pieces? Does it seem as though a lot of strange noises have been coming your way lately? Are your thoughts becoming cloudy and dim? Are you hearing things that you hadn't heard before? Are there noises that keep coming, trying to tell you to give up? In every battle, the enemy has always tried to use psychological warfare to distract the mind of men and cause them to quit. Goliath would be classified as using psychological warfare. He was to inflect fear into the heart of Israel’s men. And he would have succeeded if God had not sent David, the anointed, to bring him down. During other wars, the enemy has used radio, television, and other means of technology to inflict fear into the hearts of the warrior. And even today, the enemy of our souls is using these same technologies to distract the warrior. People are giving up because of what they are seeing and hearing taking place throughout the land and in the churches. But Isaiah said, "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength" (Isaiah 26:3-4). We are in a battle for our soul, therefore, we must keep our minds stayed on Jesus. Because if the enemy of your soul can distract you, he'll defeat you.
