Proverbs 23:23
Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.

Thought For Today:

"Following a great sermon on lifestyle evangelism, one family thought they had better do something to witness for Jesus. So they invited their neighbors to dinner the following Friday night. Prior to the meal, the hostess was keen to show their neighbors that they upheld Christian standards in their home. She asked little 5-year-old Johnny to say grace. Little Johnny was a bit shy. "I don't know what to say" There was an awkward pause, followed by a reassuring smile from the boy's mother. "Well darling," she said, " just say what Daddy said at breakfast this morning." Obediently, the boy repeated, "Oh God, we've got those awful people coming to dinner tonight. Please bless the meal." lol.

Seriously though, wouldn't it be neat if there were businesses that sold truth? "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me" (John 14:6); "And I will pray for the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you" (John 14:16-17); "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth" (John 17:17); "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32). When we understand that Jesus is truth and that He is the word made flesh and full of grace and truth (John 1:14), we can see the value of truth and why we must not let go of it. We may possess numerous items that hold value to us, but nothing compares to the importance of truth. Every day people worldwide are begging for Bibles because they want the truth. It has been stated that the Bible is the number one bestselling book every year, yet it is the least read. Friend, the truth will make you free.
