Make A Change
For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (2 Corinthians 5:14-17)
Thought For Today
Old saints, new saints, doesn't matter as long as the Gospel is preached to the whole world by the whole church. Paul said that if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things are passed away; behold all things are become new. One of the things that many believers struggle with is change. We oftentimes become accustomed to our ways and we don't like to change. We get into a rut and we want to stay there. We drive to church the same way each week. W e sit in the same seats. We tell the same old stories. We use the same old excuses. We eat the same thing each time we go out for dinner. When we become new believers in Christ, every day we should be looking at our lives to see what changes we need to make to become more like Christ. Jesus calls for us to be perfect even as our Father in heaven is perfect. The word perfect here is to become complete. If we never strive for perfection, we will never become perfect. If we are going to be like Christ, we have to change. And that change always starts with our thinking. Because as a man thinketh so is he. Can others tell that you are a new creature in Christ or does your life still reflect the old ways? What changes would you say that you need to make in your life today?
