Saved By Grace
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:8-10)
Thought For Today:
Someone recently asked, "What makes grace so amazing? What is it about grace that is incredible, remarkable, or wonderful?" Grace is the unearned love that God has for us. It's amazing because we receive something we don't deserve. It's like someone giving us a gift we could never have obtained on our own. Unfortunately, many overlook grace because they don't understand it or think they must earn it. However, Paul said that grace is God's gift to us. Grace is one of the good and perfect gifts that James spoke of, only given by God (James 1:18). When we receive grace, it's like God is opening His treasure box and giving us something unique that nobody else can offer. What makes grace so amazing is that God sees beyond our faults and meets our needs.
