Standing And Ready

"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand"(Ephesians 6:10-13)

Thought For Today:
The Dictionary defines evil as Profoundly immoral or wrong. To deliberately cause great harm, pain, or upset; to be connected with the devil or other powerful, destructive forces.
Paul said that we should put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. The call is for the child of God to become battle-ready. We can easily see that this prophetic truth, which Paul spoke, is for us today. Paul seemed to have looked through that dark glass and saw what was ahead. And so he said, let me warn the child of God for the battle that is to come. He cautioned us to get on our armor. He told Timothy that in the last days, perils time would come.

The current times are dangerous. I'm sure they were dangerous in Paul's day, and they continue to be as much so, if not more so, today. So let me encourage you: now is not the time to retreat back into the world for fear, nor is it time to lay your armor aside. But now is the time for the children of God to be fully persuaded that what God said that He will do, He will do. Now is the time for you to suit up with truth, righteousness, and faith and learn the Word of God. Because the Word of God will determine where we spend eternity. When you have done all you can do to stand, stand therefore and see the salvation of God.
