The Beauty Of Holiness

Give unto the LORD, O ye mighty, give unto the LORD glory and strength. Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. (Psalms 29:1-2)

The state of being holy comes from having a strong connection with God and spending time in His presence. It involves letting God display Himself within us, as He is Holy. Holiness is an essential aspect of our identity. It is not a temporary transformation, but a permanent one. Those who believe that holiness is defined by their clothing will only experience it temporarily. Some people limit their holiness to Sundays when they attend church, focusing only on their Sunday attire. However, when we realize that holiness is a part of who we are, it becomes a permanent state, and our clothing will reflect it every day of the week. In Leviticus 11:44-45, God instructs us to sanctify ourselves and be holy, as He is holy. The writer of Hebrews emphasizes the importance of holiness in Hebrews 12:14, stating that without holiness, no one can see the Lord. We must understand that holiness is a vital part of our salvation. Every day, when we come before God to worship, we should come in the beauty of holiness.
