Two Essentials

By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil. (Proverbs 16:6)

Solomon said, "By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil."Two things are essential for salvation: purging yourself from sin and separating from evil. The word of God is forever settled in heaven (Psalms 119:89) and tells us how to overcome sin and live a holy life. Jesus said, "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away" (Matthew 24:35). "I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins," Jesus said (John 8:24). You will discover that Acts 2:38 is the only effective way to achieve the two essentials when studying God's word.
