What Does The Future Look Like?
And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper. (2 Chronicles 20:20)
Thought For Today:
It seems like many people are concerned about the state of the world today and are wondering what it means for future generations. As believers, should we be worried about these things? The scripture advises us to have faith in the LORD our God, and we will be established; and if we believe His prophets, we will prosper. We need to reach a point in our lives where, regardless of what others are doing, we are secure in our faith and identity in God. God is unchanging – He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Just as Jesus told Peter not to worry about what would happen to John, we should focus on following God's path for us. When we have faith in God's Word, it will come to pass. Therefore, no matter what is happening in the world or in the lives of others, we should not allow it to uproot us or distract us from God's purpose. Our salvation is closer now than when we first believed.
