You’ve Got To Have The Want To

Psalm 27:1-6

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple. For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.  

Thought For Today

Do you have the, “want to?” You gotta wanna serve God.  You’ve gotta want to be in church.  You've gotta want to make it to heaven. You’ve gotta want to live holy for Jesus.  You've gotta want to labor in his vineyard.  You’ve gotta want to see your marriage work. You’ve gotta want to see your kids know their memory verses.  You’ve gotta want to see others and yourself grow in Christ.

 David had the, “want to”.  He only desired one thing, and he said thats what he sought for.  His one desire was that he may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of his life.  When you have the want to, Paul said that nothing will be able to stop you from testifying of the gospel of grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.  When the want to gets into your soul, nothing shall be able to separate you from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.  The way you get and keep the want to in you, is always remembering Calvary.  Don’t forget, you’ve got to have the want to!
