Does anyone know how to pray?
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; (1 Timothy 2:1-5)
Thought For Today:
As the boat began to sink, the captain called out desperately, "Does anyone know how to pray?" One man confidently replied, "Yes, Captain, I do." The captain nodded in relief, "That's good then. Please lead us in prayer while the rest of us put on our life vests. We're one short." lol.
Prayer is an essential part of our lives and livelihood. Through prayer, we can achieve more than we ever could through physical means. God always answers prayer according to His perfect will, and we are instructed to bring our petitions to Him and trust that He will work them out in the best way possible. Prayer has been a part of human life for centuries. As the saying goes, "As long as there are tests in school, there will be prayer in school", even if it has been outlawed by the government.
In times of great sin and darkness, prayer becomes even more crucial. Paul urged Timothy to pray for all people, including those in positions of authority, so that we may live peaceful and godly lives. This is pleasing to God, who desires all people to be saved and come to know the truth. As we pray for leaders who follow God's Word, we can hope for a more peaceful and tranquil world.
